I am asking for your help...

On march 18th, I turned 40yrs old...I've thought about this year so much as it approached. After watching my business of 10yrs (yoga studio) built from heart and a lot of hustle, crumble with covid, I kept thinking how my fathers 40th year was his worst. It was the year he committed suicide. I was almost 16. He had lost a business too...but never rebuilt it.

I was very close to my father, my draw towards yoga and love of it stems from my relationship with him...at 13 he gave me a book, The Dancing Wu Li Masters...his mother would practice yoga on a lawn cushion in her living room. He would do headstands, encouraging us to try. I loved him deeply, and cherish all he taught me. His name was Richard Earl Teufel, and he was an incredible soul that died far too young, with far too much left to create in this world and give to others.

I am fully committed to creating a new story for my 40th year. I am at the most difficult point, materially, than I have ever been at in my life, but I am also the best equipped WITHIN myself than I have ever been to birth a higher vision into being, and completely flip the script.

After watching my brick and mortar yoga studio business completely shut down and close this past August, I have been forming a new way to serve through yoga and wellness. I have over 20yrs of experience in these areas, and over a decade of business acumen, with the last 2yrs spent becoming skilled in all the potential of the online space.

I have a big vision to fully reinvent my yoga business as an 85% virtual model, with a 15% in-person component. This will serve students, yoga teachers, yoga studio owners, and corporations.

In addition to business, as I have done in the past, I will also be serving through volunteer  efforts in schools, and girls & boys homes.

Ultimately, the model I am implementing will allow me to create foster homes for girls and homes for girls aging out of the system to stay off the street and begin a powerful life. These homes will be yoga-inspired in the way they support & empower the girls, and they will have the choice to become certified yoga instructors if they choose, as well as trained in the business of yoga. I will coordinate the professional connections & mentorship for other areas of interest the girls may have (such as crypto currency & finance, real estate, healthcare, education, eCommerce, etc). This is one of the reasons that the new yoga business I am beginning is called The Yoga Infused Life.

My 6yr old daughter LOVES cats...so her heart also has the dream that the girls home will partner with animal foster organizations to house kittens & cats who need adoption. This gives the girls the joy & responsibility of caring for a pet, as well as the option to adopt the cat themselves as they move into their own self sufficient life. I honor and support my daughters visions as well so that she learns that she IS a little creator, and that the world will support her in that.

I have all the knowledge, experience, mentorship, drive, skill, partnerships and strategy to complete this vision. But, I am facing truly intense and dire financial hardship after the failing of my yoga studio.

I did not want to ask for this help, I built my first business 100% on my own with not so much as a single loan. But this is different. I'm a single mother now, and I'm not just starting out, I'm also "cleaning up" from the aftermath covid created.

I keep thinking about my Father's story, and how he is watching me now, watching the granddaughter he never met, and I am determined to create this next lift off, no matter what, and to make that story of despair became a legacy of hope, not just for me and Mya, but for so many girls to come. My pain becomes my strength, and I ask you to believe in me, to trust me, and invest in me, even if it is only $5, or maybe simply to share this with someone you know would want to support.

My intention is to raise $5,000 by May 20th.

With that support goal met, I will then be able to initiate volunteer programs for schools and girls homes by June st.
